U16 Girls Rugby – Saints 7’s

The U16 girls’ rugby team (a combined Year 10 and 11 squad) travelled to Oundle School for the Northampton Saints 7's competition. With some Year 11s bringing experience from last year’s Rosslyn Park 7’s, and a group of keen, talented Year 10s, the team had a strong mix of skill and enthusiasm.

The tournament started with a tough draw against a formidable Oakham side, who went on to win the entire competition. However, the girls bounced back with a dominant victory over hosts Oundle, securing their place in the Plate competition. After a slow start, the team found their rhythm and battled their way to the Plate Final. In a display of quality, resilience, and determination, they delivered a fantastic performance to emerge as Plate Champions.

A huge well done to everyone involved! Special shout-outs to Katiey, Amy, Laura, Lily, and Beth for their outstanding performances, and a special mention to Rebecca, who made her rugby debut and even scored a try!
