The academy timetable is operated on a fortnightly cycle. The calendar designates each week of the academic year as either WEEK A or WEEK B.
Each teaching day has 5 one-hour lessons, 25 hours per week and 50 hours per cycle, with Enrichment lessons, and some compulsory Sixth Form lessons, taking place in period 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In the exam season the academy day may change to the 3:2 split timetable above.
Lunch and Break
There is a mid-morning break and a lunch time. There are many places to buy or eat your packed lunch around the academy including the main canteen, the Graze hatch in the Street, the Pit Stop in DT and the Blues Cafe for Sixth Formers. Our canteens operate on a fingerprint system. Students can add money to their account at machines around the academy and then pay for their food using their fingerprint.
