A Huge Well Done to Our Year 11 Students!

We would like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible hard work and dedication of our Year 11 students, who have now completed their GCSE Food Practical Exams. As a department, we are immensely proud of each and every student for the effort, creativity, and skill they demonstrated throughout their assessments.

The practical exam is a challenging yet rewarding experience, requiring students to plan, prepare, and present a range of high-quality dishes within strict time constraints. From beautifully plated main courses to impressive desserts, the standard of work was truly outstanding. Many students pushed themselves beyond their comfort zones, showing resilience and adaptability under pressure.

A huge thank you also goes to parents and carers for their continued support—whether it was helping with practice at home, providing ingredients, or offering encouragement throughout the process. Your support has played a key role in helping students succeed.
