Thrills and Chills: SWA Students Take on the Slopes in Norway!

SWA Students Experience an Unforgettable Ski Adventure in Norway.

During the half-term break, a group of our students set off on an unforgettable journey to Voss, Norway for this year’s eagerly anticipated ski trip. The adventure was full of excitement, laughter, and plenty of snow-filled fun, providing students with a fantastic opportunity to enhance their skiing skills, bond with their peers, and create lasting memories.

Upon arrival, students were fitted with their ski equipment, ready to tackle the days ahead. The first full day on the slopes was marked by determination and enthusiasm, as students navigated the terrain, gaining confidence with each run. Evening activities added to the excitement, featuring winter games such as axe throwing, traditional Norwegian outdoor challenges, and a lively round of hula-hoop noughts and crosses.

Throughout the trip, students enjoyed a balance of exhilarating days on the slopes and relaxed evenings. Some chose to unwind by playing the piano, watching football, or competing in exciting table tennis matches. Midweek, after a day of skiing, students relished a gondola lift ride back up the mountain to a scenic restaurant for a well-earned pizza buffet—a delightful meal complemented by stunning views.

The final day of skiing brought excitement, as students made the most of their last runs on the slopes. The trip concluded on a magical note with a bonfire on a frozen lake, where everyone gathered to toast marshmallows, share stories, and reflect on the incredible experiences of the past few days.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and students who made this trip so special.
