Year 12 Geographers Take on Dorset!

From fieldwork investigations to coastal adventures, students put their skills to the test and even set a new record for appetite.
Our Year 12 A-Level Geography students recently embarked on an exciting residential fieldwork trip to Leeson House in Dorset as part of their NEA investigation, a crucial coursework component worth 20% of their final grade.
Armed with curiosity and a spirit of discovery, students developed their own geographical questions and put their fieldwork skills to the test. Over the first few days, they explored the local landscape, experimented with different data collection techniques such as beach profiling and soil pH testing, and refined their investigation methods.
To top off the trip, students visited the breathtaking Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, where they enjoyed stunning coastal scenery and a well-earned reward of delicious local ice cream.
A special mention to our students for not only excelling in the field but also for their outstanding manners and tidiness, earning praise from the Leeson House staff. In a record-breaking moment, they were also named the hungriest group to ever visit. Well done, Year 12!
