The Year 13 awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 14th September 2022 where we asked teachers to nominate students for outstanding academic achievement awards in all courses. The Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards were presented by:

• Mr Lee Huckle (Head of Sixth Form)
• Mrs Susie Hoad (Assistant Head of Sixth Form)
• Prof Lee Hubbard (Head of Academia)

A Musical Performance by Lily Parsonswas outstanding.

Guest Speaker Lucas Lyko, former Head Boy for academic year 2018/2019, spoke to the students about what’s next to come. 

There were also special awards given as follows:

• The Govenors Community Award for outstanding contribution to the community, presented by Steve Botterill.
• The Barbara Tye Award for Outstanding Resilience in the Face of Adversity, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Jonathan Kitulagoda Award for Outstanding Contribution to Science, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Lynda Tailor Award for Outstanding Contribution to Sports, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Robson Award for Outstanding Personal Qualities, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Principal’s Awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement (A Level), presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Sir Samuel Whitbread House Cup, presented by Charles Whitbread. 

Last years’ Head Girl Charlotte Sheppard finished the evening with some closing words for her fellow peers and their families.
