The Year 11 awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 21th September 2022 where we asked teachers to nominate students for outstanding academic achievement awards in all courses. The Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards were presented by:

• Miss Priano (Head of Year)
• Mrs Kirkman (Associate Principal)

A Musical Performance by Lily Parsons was outstanding.

Guest Speaker Festus Akinbusoye, the Bedfordshire police and crime commissioner, who talked about the importance of respect, determination and never giving up, spoke to the students about what’s next to come. 

There were also special awards given as follows:

• The Poppy Goaman Award for Outstanding Contribution for the Arts, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Govenors Community Award for outstanding contribution to the community, presented Sharon Dickman
• The Year 11 Award for Outstanding Personal Qualities, presented by Nick Martin (Principal)
• The Principal’s Awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement (GCSE), presented by Nick Martin (Principal)

Last years’ Head Boy Harry Morrison finished the evening with some closing words.
